Catherine Jennifer creates uplifting, playful art on themes of connection, joy, awe and wonder.
She studied Fine Art (Painting) at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, before relocating to the UK.
She has 20+ years experience as a graphic designer, initially in-house for the University of Oxford, then for Earthwatch Institute, before going fully freelance in 2011.
Catherine Jennifer works in watercolour and mixed media, in a loose style, with a focus on mark-making. Her aim is to create accomplished, thoughtful yet playful art that speaks to the soul and acts as a mirror for people to see inside themselves. She also creates hand-painted patterns for the Home Decor market.
She is a Top Teacher on Skillshare: her classes focus on creativity, drawing, painting and surface pattern design.
She teaches in-person art workshops and courses, and runs an Art Club. She is particularly interested in helping people overcome resistance to discover and develop their creative confidence.
Catherine Jennifer is a mother of four boys, aged 14, 12, and 7-year-old twins. When not working or being a mum, you will find her running through the woods, or smashing a hockey ball around with the Abingdon Hockey club.
